Evaporation of Liquid Particles in Two -Phase Compression Process

چکیده
The change in water particle diameters injected into the vapor compression process, the water phase temperature and the vapor phase temperature were measured in the compression process. The experimental conditions were approx. 2 at a compression ratio under 100 kPa in pressure, 340-390 Kin temperature range, 2-8 Hz in rotational speed. The mass ratio of injected water was small: in the order of 1% of the vapor phase mass. The temperature of water particles was clarified as being the same as the saturation temperature for the measured pressures. The temperature difference between two phases was in the order of 10 K under the test conditions. Water particles with diameters of some ten micrometers were sufficiently evaporated in the compression cycle. Injection timing difference was clearly apparent in the temperature-entropy diagram at the rotational speed of 2 Hz, even for very small injepion mass ratio.

Improving of Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Al-A356 Alloy with Compo-Casting Method
Aluminum/alumina composites are used in automotive and aerospace industries due to their low density and good mechanical strength. In this research, the effect of mechanical stirring of slurry in liquid-solid phase temperature and injection of alumina powder with inert gas (Ar) on microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-A356 alloy is investigated. In order to improve of the wettability a...
متن کاملDroplet evaporation characteristics due to wet compression under RCM conditions
The vaporization characteristics of a single fuel droplet subjected to rapid gas-phase compression (i.e., wet compression) are computationally investigated using two spherically-symmetric models: quasisteady (QS) and fully transient (TS). Features of the wet compression process under rapid compression machine (RCM) conditions are discussed with these compared to simulations where the far-field ...
متن کاملEffect of colloidal Particles associated with the liquid bridge in sticking during drying in Superheated Steam
It is very important in the design of a drying system is to evaluate sticking behaviour of the materials goes under drying. A new approach to the sticking issue is applied in this study by carrying out a sticking test for the liquid associated with the materials under study. It was found that the liquid bridge is responsible of the initial sticking of the materials to the contact surface and th...
متن کاملLimitations of the Wegener–Bergeron–Findeisen Mechanism in the Evolution of Mixed-Phase Clouds
Phase transformation and precipitation formation in mixed-phase clouds are usually associated with the Wegener–Bergeron–Findeisen (WBF) process in which ice crystals grow at the expense of liquid droplets. The evolution of mixed-phase clouds, however, is closely related to local thermodynamical conditions, and the WBF process is just one of three possible scenarios. The other two scenarios invo...
